Jail Ministry

Starting at the end of July we have arranged for a group of four women to go in groups of two on two Sunday evenings a month to the Buncombe County jail. They are interested in us teaching classes to these women about sex trafficking, as many of them have been either sexually abused or prostituted. We are also doing a workbook study called A Woman Who Hurts, A God Who Heals. This is written by author Elsa Kok. She works with Focus on the Family. She graciously donated these workbooks free of charge for us to use! Please pray for this outreach opportunity and the relationship with the womens program director of the jail as we work together to educate these women about sex trafficking, and show them God’s love. 

Our Current Needs

PRAYER IS OUR MAIN NEED!

Our ministry this summer is taking time to continue working on our business plan for The Hope House as we prepare to lay that solid foundation for the days ahead. We do not have any “open” meetings planned this summer, just board meetings. Although we have established our initial board of directors, we would like to know if you have a desire to help. Currently we need help in the following areas:

1. designing booth presentations and displays for two fall Christian business/ministry expos and help working the shows in efforts to raise awareness about our ministry and sex trafficking in general

     2. help with Goal 15,000

     3. grant writing
